I guess it would depend on where you live, geographicaly, here in the midwest we plant grass in the spring, cover it with a bale of stray and let it grow, in fall, it would possibly be sept or oct, depending if you live in an area that gets frost by nov. hope this helps

I'm in Zone 9 where we generally don't get a real winter other than a rainy season. So, we always re-seed at the end of September or the beginning of October because the temperatures are more conducive to having it take and the rain takes care of the watering.

NOW! Of course it depends exactly where you are. If your area is cooling off, at least at night, now is the time time.
