Does he like me as more than a friend???confused?

I have a best friend that I like alot and have for almost a year,and I told him about a month ago how I felt and he said he only liked me as a friend and nothing more and hat he hates affection and stuff,But see,yesterday,I saw him in school,and we were sitting and talking for over an hour outside after class,and he kept playing with his hair and I asked him why and he said he's been doing that lately(kinda like an excuse)and when I stod up,he would stand up,and when I sat down,he sat down.And I decided to play with his hair like I always do and I touched his face a couple times trying to get his hair together and he kinda looked like he was smerking and didn't do anything.And normally,I hug him first,and he hugs me with one arm,but yesterday,he hugged me first and with two arms.also,he seemed to be acting a little strange,like when I asked a question,he'd say something,than I'd ask it again and he would say something else,and say he didn't understand the first time.And,before we left,he told me to call him anytime if I wanted to do something.So,today I text him and he replies and I asked when I could see him again and he said when he had the time he would.WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN???PLEASE HELP ME.....I'm so confused:/

I would have to go by his first reaction when you told him you liked him. He said he wanted to only be friends.

But ya know guys can have a change of heart too.

Just don't let him take advantage of you since he knows you like him. Some guys will do that. Don't want you to be even more broken hearted, plus you would be losing a friend.

You was honest enough the first time when you told him you liked him, why not try again and see if he has had a change in heart.
