Yes I do agree with you but teachers are bee-otches. Everyone knows that.

Sometimes a lesson just happens to end on Friday, and it is time to do an assignment over it. The teacher doesn't want to have to take a whole extra class day on Monday just to be able to give homework sometime other than the weekend.

Teachers might gripe about having to grade over the weekend, but they still do it, just like you might gripe about your homework, but you still do it (I hope!). Grading papers and making lesson plans is a teacher's homework every day. If you think about how many papers your class turns in and multiply by how many classes the teacher has, that should give you an idea of how many papers have to be graded.

I teach high school math, so I give homework everyday, but I do try to make the weekend assignment a little shorter so it doesn't interfere too much with weekend plans.
