I'm Italian and thank you for the compliment.
Not all Italians have dark hair by the way.
Anyway as food it's difficult to choose because there is so much variety and if I say one dish today I may change my mind tomorrow.
I love true Italian ice cream that is incomparable and something that I really miss in London.
For antipasto I would choose stuffed roast artichokes
As for first dish out of the Italian menu in this moment I would choose a plate of spaghetti al dente with fresh clams in their shells, or gnocchi, or trenette pasta with fresh pesto pounded in the mortar and made with true Ligurian basil that is the best in the world for it.
As main dish I would follow with roasted yellow peppers stuffed with rabbit or roast lamb Tuscan style, that is, with white wine garlic and rosemary + roast potatoes.
For dessert I would have a Sicilian cannolo that is a sort of deep fried biscuit roll case stuffed with sweet ricotta and candied fruits or a Sicilian cassata (not the ice cream but the cake). You can't beat Sicilians in patisserie
Espresso and lemoncello for afters.

I am Italian.....favorite Italian food is veal scallopini with garlic, shallot, and whole mushroom sauce over a bed of garlic mashed spuds.....and a side of aspergus tips with cheeze sauce.
