As so many have already stated, download Yahoo Messenger, install it, then use your Yahoo ID and password to log in. You will either need to add Yahoo peeps to start IM'ng or just ask to be added by interesting people that you find through the search function. Hope this helps

You have to download Yahoo messenger. It doesn't automatically come with an ID. It doesn't take but a few minutes and then off you go!!!

actually no you do not have to download yahoo messenger
go here and you can use the web browser instant chat without having to download the IM, all you need is your id and sign in
