over the years i have noticed that my face (especially when i have make-up on) gets really oily. i work in an office so i do need to wear make-up, i prefer not to have "minerals" they don't seem to cover very well. i prefer liquid foundation and liquid to powder foundations... does anyone have oily skin that can help.

here is stuff that stays put on my oily skin in the florida summers...

mark powder buff natural skin foundation $8 (my fave)

avon perfect wear extralasting foundation $12

merle norman lasting foundation $26

revlon colorstay foundation for oily skin $12

rimmel lasting finish foundation $7

use blotting papers throughout the day to reduce shine, rather than packing on more powder, which can make your makeup look cakey.

The best foundation is the Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation by Bee-Luscious.

Here is how to get it to last ALL day and then some. First wash your face with the Papaya Foam Cleanser this removes ALL dirt, oil and dead skin. Then spritz on the Mineral Mist to close your pores. Put on the Retexturizing Face Primer. Then use the Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation. Here are the links.

ive always had oily skin and i heard about mac makeup but i had heard that it was bad 4 ur skin but when i tried it i was shocked it covers every thing and keeps me matte all day even without powder u should try studio fix fluid thats what the sales girl reccommend and the shade nc30 matched me perfectly the first time usually i have 2 go back about 3 times 2 find my perfect shade but the first time i tried it matched my skin tone which really suprised me but u should try it i also got there blot powder which work really good ive also tried clinique superfit and it didn't really control the oil on my t-zone at all within an hour my face was oily so i highly recommend mac makeup and it doesn't make u break out u just have 2 make sure that u wash ur face really good what i do if first i use a makeup remover on my face then i use a toner the toner is what really takes the makeup off but ive been using it 4 about 6 months now and haven''t had any problems with it and ive also used BM and i hated it ur right it didn't cover anything and it only made me oilyer so u should definitley try mac studio fix fluid and also get there blot powder

I've had super oily skin my whole life. Powder works best for me. Liquid just makes it worse. If you prefer liquid, you should apply powder over it to help absorb the oil. Oh yeah, and always make sure you buy oil-free makeup. Good luck :-)

I use Clinique Super fit makeup. I have oily skin also and it keeps me looking great all day. Go to a Clinique counter and a sales lady can help you. They are trained and always have the best advice on the care of you skin. It is a little higher than the junk you get at Wal Mart, but your skin is worth it! Check it out! :) Have a great day! :)

I would have to agree with Mary M. bee-luscious is the best. i just started using it a couple weeks ago and have never had any make-up of this quality. i will never use another brand again.

the only thing i would add is the silk radiance powder. it is pure crushed silk and really sets your make-up while giving you a soft glow.

I see that you don't like mineral foundation. My favorite foundation of all time is Bare Escentuals mineral foundation. The trick is to apply a small amount, buff it in, and then add another layer. Repeat, until you get the coverage you need. Believe me, even if you have major red blotches on you face, they can be covered by minerals. Don't try to take a shortcut and apply a lot all at once; it just looks caked on.

the best foundation i tried for controlling oil on my face was maybelline pure. it's water based instead of oil based, so it lasts so much longer and it doesn't sweat off as easily. i didn't even have to use powder when i was using this foundation!

plus, it's only about $6 a tube.
