I have measured the proper measurement through my whole pregnancy until now. Suddenly today I am measuring 38 weeks and not 36 (And I'm not even officially 36 weeks until Sunday!). My OB told me if my water breaks or I start having contractions that are regular and 5 minutes apart then go to the hospital. He stopped short of saying I would go into labour soon but wasted no time in handing over the paperwork for me to bring to the hospital in case I do go into labour. Anyone else have this and deliver before their due date. I'm not due til October 7th but I think maybe she'll be here sooner!

Unless you are planning on doing something out of town in the next couple of weeks, I wouldn't worry about it. When an Ob says that you are due on Oct. 7 they mean approx. the 7th give or take 2 weeks. So it is possible that your baby may actually be ready to come out what seems to be 2 weeks early, but as long as she comes on her own, don't make her wait much longer. You are well within the safety time frame for having a healthy baby. Don't stress too much, this can cause your baby to stress too and then she may want to come out sooner than she should.

Congrats on the Baby!

36 weeks is considered full term now by some so try not to worry too much. After 20 weeks, measuring can be off by quite a bit as after that point every baby take son it's own growth rate. A single measurement beign off doesnt mean much and especially if not by more than two weeks.
Most doctors actually have you pre-registered for the hospital if you are going to use one, WELL before 36 weeks-so s/he is late in that regard.

Its tense to assert. healthcare expert dont subject approximately how dialated you're untill you attain 3cm. i myself constantly measured vast, and assumed because of the fact of that i might have a huge toddler and or grant early.. At 28 weeks I measured 30 weeks, and then didnt strengthen lots. till my 34 weeks appointment I went in for a general verify up and replaced into measuring 40 two weeks.. i be attentive to that's a great distinction. nicely come to be certain i replaced into retaining water, and had to lots amniotic fluid. They went forward and precipitated because of the fact of preeclampsia no longer because of the fact of ways vast i replaced into.. and that i further a 6lb 9oz toddler.. Small for a manner vast i replaced into, however the waters that got here out while they broke my water and the water that got here out while my daughter did actually soaked the excellent floor in my transport room.. I immediatly felt smaller and looked smaller.. I dont be attentive to why i'm happening with this tale. My component is even although you degree better then you certainly are doesnt propose the toddler is going to get right here any faster.. There must be many distinctive reason you're measuring 2 weeks better.. i'm sorry that I saved rambling i think of my tale is slightly humorous while i think of roughly it and that i like to proportion it.. I do wish all the coolest for you and in the adventure that your toddler does come earlier then expected thank you to pass..

not nessacerily although it could be possible. your baby will come when your baby will come. i am 27 weeks and measuring 33 weeks. i have to go for growth scans etc to see if i am having a big baby. big measurements usually mean big baby (my first was big 10lb 12oz and i looked huge but they didnt take measurements with that pregnancy). in general though as long as u are measuring within 2cm of ur date (so say ur 30 weeks and measuring either 28 or 32 weeks) this is usually considered normal. if you go on www.babycentre.co.uk there is some information on there about measuring big for dates. if you read it, it may put your mind at rest (or not if your wanting this baby to hurry up as i can probably guess you are).

Unfortunately, measurements in size have no known corelation to the date of delivery. I wouldn't get your hopes up too soon because you might be disappointed.

Crongratulations on your baby! I'm due on October 9th..will you post when you do go into labor? I don't know about you but I've been miserable in this heat...and the swelling and the pain and the discomfort.....etc

It is a possibility since you are so far along. But its also possible that you just had a growth spurt. I had several of those during my pregnancies. But you are obviously getting close if the dr has already given you paperwork for the hospital.

Did they check your fluid levels to make sure that they are not too high? Sometimes having extra fluid can cause you measure bigger that you should be. Also, sometimes women get confused about their LMP and due dates can be off by about two weeks.

It is possible. All but one of mine came into the world 2 weeks before my due date.

Good Luck...get everything ready!
