You will not get paid by him when he's in jail, but apply for the child support and he will owe it still when he gets out.

Most states allow you to collect child support from inmates. You have to send notice of the court order to the warden of the prison he is in and ask how the judgment is to be handled. If you are on welfare or get assistance from the state to support any child that he is ordered to pay support for tell them who he is and where he is. they will get it taken care of for you. However, if he has a job while in prison they can only take a percentage of what he is paid. There is most likely a child support recovery agency in your state. Look up their number or call the welfare department to get it. They will do the paperwork for you. Good luck.

Then flow obtainable and get your self a job/occupation and start up paying the assist you owe those little ones. I surely have 3 little ones of my own. believe me as quickly as I say if my ex had custody then i could extra advantageous than gladly pay for help. this is for the youngster's welfare no longer your husband's. Get off your intense horse and start up taking accountability for the little lives which you have created. i'm surprised that folk which comprise your self are professional-turning out to be and leaving little ones with no longer something to stay off of considering the fact which you have somebody new to unfold your legs to! little ones first think of of your container 2d lady!

You can seek afdc/welfare, I'm not sure what it's called in Alabama, they will give you medical, dental, cash and foodstamps. Notify child support that he is incarcerated and when he gets out he will have to pay welfare back whatever you received. they will also charge him interest on it.

You would have to look up the laws for your county. I know in florida the state will end up paying you but he would eventually have to pay the state back.

Do you mean state assistance with like food and such? He is responsible for child support once he is released but who is to say you will get it. Search it on line for your state and see what they say.
