4 hours.killer. I wanted to scream and get out of there. First outside waiting and then inside waiting for the doctor... hated it.

I have seen people wait for 3 hours. I was 1 of 2 front desk girls at a dermatologists office. She was really hard on us when it came to scheduling, and we would have to stay late if she saw that she wasn't at least double booked to fill her schedule. I guess she wanted as much money as possible each day, and that meant 2 people coming in every 15 minutes from 7:00 to 5:!5. The patients were always so angry... they would come and yell at us or make rude comments to us, but funny thing is- they never said a word to the doctor. Funny how that works. Take it out on the right people, guys- believe it or not doctors have the final word on their schedules!!!!!!

It depends on where you live, and the type of facility.
I have spent 5 hours in a waiting room with a sick kid, only to go home and he had a febrile seizure. So back we went.

5 HOURS!!!!!! Because the doctor wanted to see my newborn at 2 weeks old. She actually had the nerve to overbook infants that did not need to be out at night in the winter. oh and she spent 5 minutes on my child. (yes, I changed doctors)

well here is the answer to that - i work in a doctor's office and it all depends one on the doctor and two if u have consistently late patiens who show up 1/2 hour after their appt time and still demand to be seen-when people do that it puts the doctor behind and other patients behind-

6 hours in the emergency room of a hospital. I finally just walked out !!!!! Good thing i wasn't dying :-)
