Did you find it as painful and upsetting as I did???

I had the procedure done two months ago. I found out that I had a blocked left tube that can only be corrected through surgery they were able to clear the right side immediately. I had some bleeding and they gave me antibiotics just in case of an infection from what was cleared out. I had some slight cramping on and off but nothing that is unbearable. I am sorry you had a bad experience. I have actually had it done 2x's and the second was the most painful. So I guess it just depends on the person. Good luck to you.

I had an HSG back in February. I know every woman is different and depending on your condition or diagnosis, the procedure may be painful. I personally found it a very easy procedure. To me, it was no more uncomfortable than having a pap smear. My tubes are open though. I've heard that if they're blocked, an HSG can be more painful.

I had mine July 2006, and yes, it was painful. When I was almost in tears, the pain just suddenly went away. My doctor gave me a xanax before the hsg so it wasn't too upsetting.
