Of course we are evolving but as posted above, it takes long periods of time. Change is a hard thing to understand, when you think in small terms.
Has the road changed over a day? of course not!
but over a few years though it may have a crack or two.
Imagine evolution like this, but in much bigger terms,
basically everything you have read is the last evolutionary change, prior to that is unwritten, and the caveman type is simply paintings on a wall, prior to that all we have is bones, prior to that change in skull/bones again. So its tough to say without a shadow of a doubt that we are evolving, but scientificly you would say, how could we not?
When the link between man and ape is discovered the world will turn upside down, as all religion will be put to test. The only scenerio worse than this, is meeting aliens. Because no ones religion has accounted for this either...
Plain and simple, the llast evolution is when we started writting/recording history, not to mention our brain became bigger and we can use a tiny bit more of it.
So for using actual human refrences its still a tough one at this point.

Leonardo Di Caprio's new movie documentary, The 11th Hour, suggests the very idea you propose here; that the human race is indeed (yes, our own actions) causing the misery and suffering we are experiencing globally i.e. manifested as catastrophic climate change, poverty, famine, war, terrorism, environmental pollution etc etc etc.
Doesn't much sound like healthy human evolution by any stretch of the imagination.
Why should people concern themselves with some supposed supernova when all the problems plaguing societies All over the globe are being caused and carried out by people on a daily basis, who then proceed to suffer & complain from those same problems.
The human race needs to take a long look at itself.
People who are interested in a healthful peaceful planet can learn how to achieve such at;

Yes over amount of years human height has increase. Ages ago the average man height was 5"4" and to see someone 6"6" was like finding a lepercon with a beaver in his pants. But now the average man height is 5"9" and a lot more humans are growing to overpass 6"0". And this height increase will continue.

You don't quite seem to understand evolution.
It isn't about an individual critter adapting, it's about the variability in critters, which leads to some being better adapted, and passing on those more successful genes to their off-spring.
Humans, it seems to me, are too numerous and widespread to be evolving.
Suppose a human were born with a mutation that made them more successful than most in passing their genes on to subsequent generations.
How could that mutation become widespread, over a planet of more then 6 billion people?

Of course. If we don't continue to evolve, we start to become extinct.
Since humans are highly complex, evolution is a very slow process. Don't expect humanity to evolve into beings that thrive on a diet of pollution and radiation in just a few generations.

Yes, we are still evolving. But evolution takes long periods of time, if you just look at how much smarter and how highly abstracted our mental processes have become in the last two hundred years, it is astounding.

I posted a similar question to this not long ago and what i came to the conclusion is that although maybe we have stopped evolving Physically, we may still be evolving mentally.

absolutely we are evolving, there are still diseases we can't cure, the ones that don't survive to pass on their genes are left out of the gene pool.
