I am very easily bored, and don't know what to do when I've got free time and just hate being alone....I am not a only child, but I did play on my own sometimes when I was little with no problems, maybe I need challenges??? I don't like to repeat things, especially seeing places, if I've been to a city, museum or whichever place one time, I find it boring to be there for a second time...and to be honest, I just find most things in life quite boring....is there anything wrong with me and will I change when I become older???

I think your type of boredom is quite common. I think it results from a lack of inner life. A kind of emptiness inside. It's not terminal, though.
I used to get bored when I was very young, but got over it by my twenties. I still grab a book or newspaper when I'm not doing anything, but it's not always available. When there's nothing to do, I focus my mind on the meaning of life, I think of God and what God wants in my life. If I don't have a problem or topic on my mind, I just kind of focus my attention on the the idea of what is good, or something like that. I never contemplate the idea of the Nice, as it kind of annoys me. Of course I often have something else I could put into my contemplation: a specific experience or problem, something I feel grateful for, somebody I love. (Sometimes somebody I hate, but this tends to be unpleasant or disturbing after a while.)
Well, this is how I've developed my ability not to be bored, but I'm sure it could be changed all kinds of ways, depending on the individual person.

How come some people are hardworking and successful, while others are lazy bums who are total losers? How come some people are anything and others are not? We are all different.

But once we recognise something about ourselves that we don't like, we have a brain in our head and we have a will to change that thing for something better..... if we want to badly enough. If we don't make that effort to change that particular thing, well, it just means we can't be bothered.

I started to feel the same way recently. Life is not exciting me anymore even despite of the fact that I travel a lot.

I think the more you learn in life the less you expect anything new to happen.

Gosh, the internet is like the key to the universe.. I have to pull my self away from it.. I wish that I did get bored.
If you need to be with people make more friends and join clubs.
There will always be a new place to travel to.
I think that the more we use our imagination, the less we get bored.

You need to learn to entertain yourselves. Do you like to read? Do you like to draw? Do you like to make up stories? Do you like to dance or play sports? What are your hobbies?

One saying I heard that has kept me from being bored is that only boring people are bored. Non-boring people find ways to occupy their time. Do you want to be a boring person?
Find things to do that you enjoy. It will involve experimentation. You may have to invent games. Be creative. Let your mind go. Don't try to structure it. Just go with it.

People who get bored easily have little imagination. There are a huge amount of activities, sports, Internet, books, learning a musical instrument. Get going!
