I am currently working my way through the first series (never having watched it before,) although it's been on T.V over here, [UK] many times.
I regularly have to pause the DVD whilst I 'split my sides'
Is this normal behaviour?...or should I see a Psychiatrist???? lol x

I have to admit I find 'cue to laugh noises irritating & patronising too. but I still love the series.

It is hilarious! I watch it every night @ 11 here, while hubby is asleep and have to stifle the laughter so I don't wake him up, but know the bed jiggles. I just love them! And I've seen 'em all. Enjoy!

Unfortunately Frasier is typical American comedy which absolutely drenches the show with canned laughter as the producers assume that the American audience is to stupid to recognise anything funny. (Not my opinion, theirs. I saw them on a chart show trying to justify canned laughter. They also said that they show the outside of a building before the inside so the audience will know when a scene changes.) Friends is another show that is very poor but full of canned laughter. Why, oh why, can't they do it without the laughter and let the audience decide. Another ploy is to use a 'studio audience' who are told when to laugh, cheer or applaud and pretend the show is live.
