Next time that you log into your Yahoo e-mail account... change the password. WRITE THAT DOWN, so you don't forget.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

2 possibilities and you need to decide which is most likely.

1. some one has your password (or access to your computer when you are logged in to yahoo.)

2. someone is spoofing or counterfiting emails with your account "added" to the from line. ( if you are able to look at the full header of the email, you can tell from the originating computer)

To stop option 1 -- change your password and make sure you log off your account when you are not present

To stop option 2 -- not much you can do, ignore or change your account. I would ignore.

You ARE being spoofed!

I just answered this question a couple of days ago:

FORWARD all e-mails you get "from yourself" to spoof@yahoo.com with a note at the top that it is DEFINITELY _NOT_ from you and that YOU are being SPOOFED.

Read about SPOOFING here:

http://www.iss.net/security_center/advice/Underground/Hacking/Methods/Technical/Spoofing/

You also need to contact Yahoo by going here http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/securit... and/or calling their customer service support number and they will help you get your account straightened out.

Yahoo Customer Care

866-562-7219 or 866-722-3755 or 408-349-3300

I stronly suggest using ALL methods together.

I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Well, security is a complicated issue. I would recommend that you change your password. And not write it down anywhere, and not tell anyone. Do not forget this password. Or make a note of your password in your password protected pocketPC.
