over $$ with GOOD venitlation or have nasty filthy baths? Anything in the 77006 area code sucks. (Midtown) I prefer uptown, downtown or nicer areas! I don't care about cheap $$$. FYI! BUT Not going somwhere like Sullivan's either!

Flying Saucer is one of my favorite places downtown... Vin is supposed to be very nice but I have not gotten to go yet.
I don't like clubs at all but if you do maybe you'd like Roc Bar.

You know.... I always found that with a good attitude and some good friends, even a meat market dive bar could be fun. You sound as if you need either some good friends to party with or a major change in attitude.

I have heard good things about Mantra, but have never been there myself (it is downtown, but only open Fri & Sat).

In my 20+ years of clubbing, I have only found a club like you describe once. That is the 360 at the foot of Canal street in New Orleans pre Katrina. The bathrooms were gorgeous, the view was fantastic, the drinks were reasonable, and the crowd was amazing.

In Houston.... good luck!

Why don't you join a tennis, golf or work-out club? Try jogging at Memorial park, Rice football games or something else besides bars. Just a suggestion.

Who are you kidding, Denise, everyone is looking for someone when they go to those places. The nicer places simply have different pick up lines. Try looking on CitySearch for the places that appeal to you. They have a large list with reviews.
