You can accomplish a lot more with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word by itself. If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, riddle them with bullets.

War is in itself a program to create more problems, like the virus in a computer program.
What makes it so hard to convince otherwise, is, that you can not show, what happened, if we would not go to war.
Lets take examples:
1. The US fought for independence, Canada not. Today, Canadians are as well of and as free as US Citizens, maybe even better of.
2. WW1 was suppose to be the war to end all wars. But the peace thready of Versailles created actually the foundation for Iraq wars, many African wars, WW2, Vietnam and Israel-Palestine conflict.
3. WW2 - if the US would have left wellenough alone, Europe would have been united under Germany and the cold war would have never happened. Today Europe is United, with Germany as the economical super power.
Pro war defendants always take only the positive result of manskind resilience, to build up after a war, that it was a sucess, forgetting, that mankind would be even better of, without the devastation and hate it creates.

War is the solution for EVERY problem! In particular, global nuclear war combined with a weaponized Spanish influenza could solve EVERY problem that exists on the planet!
How can this be, you ask? Simple: humans are the only ones that define things as problems on Earth. Wipe every last one of them out and - viola! - no more problems!

Not every issue, but there are some issues where War is the only answer. Unfortunately Iran seems to be becoming one of those issues.
Iran can only be solved with a show of force, or a demonstration that we are not afraid to use it, then forcing them to negotiate on our terms.

War is NEVER the "solution."
Uh.....if it WERE, there would've only have ever been ONE war.
"EITHER WAR IS OBSOLETE, OR MAN IS."
----Buckminster Fuller
You know guys, I think that a species capable of putting a man on the moon is capable of working things out.
Really.
The ONLY "reason" to war with each other is to SELL ARMS and pour gazillions of our tax dollars into the Defense Budget. Money which should rightfully be spent on the "general welfare" of Americans.
Health? Education? Alternative Energy? Research? Art? Culture? Creating Jobs???
War is SO twentieth century.

Anyone who can pick up a history book will agree with that. Iran will be no problem. 70% are under 30 and love the west. They are tired of girls getting stoned to death.

No, especially when it comes to defending America from the Radical Muslim terrorists.
I mean really, come on. What do you think will happen anyway, if we hold hands, light candles, and sing give Peace chance?
Answer: THE ISLAMOFASCISTS ARE STILL GOING TO HATE AND WANT TO DESTROY AMERICA!
Why can't people understand that?
Note too. that the president of Iran will use nuclear weapons in the name of Allah.
This is a different situation, compared to North Korea.
If any kind of destructive weapons get into the hands of terrorists, they'll use them for the sake of Allah and converting the non believers.
Also note too, that the president of Iran said that the Holocaust never happened and that Israel should be wiped off the map!
And you want to give that psycho idiot a chance?!
He also uses anti- American, Israel, and Western rhetoric routinely in his speeches.
No, this is definitely one man we can't fool around with.
Whatever it takes.
Even if we have to leave Iraq and go into Iran.
But I'm convinced that we can take out Iran's nuclear facilities with just air and naval power.
And for your reading pleasure, we have given Iran enough time to abandon their ambitious nuclear weapons program.
Yet, 3,000 Centrifuges later... hmmm
Good question though. I'll star it.

Of course I agree. But I will also say that sometimes, war is the only solution, to be used after all else fails.

I think most Americans believe that its not the solution to everything and hopefully they'll make their voices heard in 2008.
Did you see Ron Paul last night at the Republican Presidential debate? I was surprised to see him get that kind of applause. But I think that proves my point; that Americans are waking up and finally coming out of the bubble that the government and media has locked them in for so long.

Of course it is not the only solution. It may not even be a solution. But as Clausewitz wrote, "War is not a mere act of policy but a true political instrument, a continuation of political activity by other means."
Now...do you agree that the price of liberty is eternal vigilance? Or is yours the slow Liberal media mantra of lethargy and appeasement?
