I was born in the late 80's, and I love the music from back then. Also, from TV, movies, and such, it seems people got along much better and there wasn't half the crap that goes on then that goes on today. That's not to say it was perfect then, but it seems society gets worse all the time. What's your take on the 80's (preferably people who grew up or were adults in the 80's answer).

I miss the 80s, with their bad fashion and good music. But I'm happy with right now. Now, at least, I can look back and enjoy the 80s, but I also can enjoy all the stuff of today.

No, I hated the 80s with a passion.
I was born in the 50s and I wish it was the '60s again. That was the coolest decade ever!
I saw Martin Luther King jr speak in Boston Common; I saw John Wayne ride into Harvard Square on an armored personnel carrier; I watched all the hippies protest the Viet Nam war; in 1968 I watched 2001: A Space Oddyssey when it first appeared; I watched movies before they were rated; I remember the 1962 Beatniks, then the 1966/67 Hippies, then the 1968/69 Yippies; Abbie Hoffman and the Black Panthers and the Black Stone Rangers were in the news; black riots broke out all over the States. The 1960s were not dull or boring like the 70s, 80s, and the bland 90s.

If I could be my age now in the 80's that would be great. I do not want to go back to the 80's and have to go through my teens again.

I graduated in 1980. Back then I had a job and only supported my car. I went out dancing twice every weekend, I had no bills, no worries. it was the very best time of my life and I'd give anything to spend one week back there.
