Are their flaps on his suit?

Vader's torso was intact, only his legs and arms were missing. The lava burned his skin and seared his lungs, making a respirator necessary. His genitalia probably also suffered third-degree burns and may have been too damaged to save, but somehow i don't think so because Vader was still too much of a masculine presence - he obviously had testosterone in his system (it may have been artificially administered, but I don't think so, and Vader never presented himself as a eunuch). His excretory functions were not damaged at all, and if you look at the posed photos of the suit you will see that his groin is indeed protected by an armored brief. It has a long indented slot or hatch in the front and is obviously there to allow access for David Prowse (who was inside the suit) in order to relieve himself during filming. As part of the story, it must be surmised that it operates the same way for Vader. As for solid waste, Vader probably goes the same way we do, although since he is on either a liquid or mechanically soft diet I really wouldn't call it "solid" waste, even though his nutrition must include a lot of processed fiber. I would therefore assume a sealable flap or panel in the rear of the suit. Since Vader receives a prepared diet via a G-tube (a surgically inserted tube which passes thru the wall of the stomach for the injection of liquid formula feedings.) which is probably connected to the control box on his chest, there is no need for him to remove his helmet to eat or drink, and probably carries concentrated nutrition canisters with him in the field if necessary. The control box on his chest would therefore have a port on the side or top where formula canisters could be attached as needed, and the control box would also function as the pump, probably delivering formula as a bolus feeding rather than at X cc's/hourly, as Vader is too impatient to sit still for an extended amount of time. That probably happens rarely, tho, as Vader is never without the support of the 501st Legion (Vader's Fist) and therefore does not need to worry about "roughing it". His waste is also obviously not "recycled" - except in extreme cases I would think his suit is designed to reclaim the water from his urine but only if necessary. Knowing what is (and is not) present in fecal matter, it would be a very bad decision to attempt to reconstitute fecal waste into any type of nutritional substance. It would be far easier to expel the waste (if not thru the anus then out thru a colostomy) or vaporize it (although I know I wouldn't want a vaporizer implanted up my bum) and simply bring in fresh nutrition. The History Channel does a lot of these "speculative theory" shows, and the opinions presented are sometimes waaay off base. If you have to reconstitute the matter with fresh nutrients, why even bother? A G-tube is far easier and presents much less of a contamination issue.

There are probably processors inside his suit to take care of his waste. Perhaps they also function like the Star Trek replicators and somehow convert his waste back into nutrition for him (No, I only wish I was making that up). Either way, he's gotta stink in there.

See those buttons on the front of his suit, one yellow; one brown. The yellow button opens the front flap for onesy; the brown button opens the rear flap for the deuce.

I bet it's something like in Dune, where the suit takes all his sweat and bodily wastes and converts it. Wasn't there a little tube that Paul could drink from in the movie?

He's a cyborg, which means he half human half machine. I would guess the machine part has got the better of him.
