Why do west coast people always ask such dumber questions then east coast people?

Your right. I travel between the coasts often, it appears to me that people in the west are more health conscience than the east.

Speaking from New England -

I think it's because the access to quality produce is better, so people eat more fruits and vegis. The weather is nicer so westerners tend to do more outdoor activities, golf, run, bike - whatever all year round. In the east we spend 6 months of the year indoors.

This question (and answers) brings me to another question. Why does "the East" only/usually refer to the NorthEast? Such as the last response; "..east spends 6 months indoors.." I'm in Charleston,SC, 10 min. from the beach, about as far east as you can get in this country and we spend 9 months outdoors. For some reason the South can't be East as well. When I refer to the North should I only mention Montana? or Wisconsin, not wait, thats the MidWest. Well from NY, to Boston to Seattle to Cleveland, Chicago to Seattle are all North to me.
Ok, I'm done. Back to answering the actual question. Carry on.

I didn't see any stats for "east coast people".... I saw Mississippi, West Virginia and a coupla others...none of them on any coast..

Who cares anyway. We don't need a "nanny" society. And, obesity is NOT an epidemic. And epidemic is spread through biologicals, microbes, bacterias, viruses....not by fork.....

Some people are fat, some aren't, some in between. Viva la difference.
