I wanted to know what you think of the Acer laptop with the Intel Duo Core Prosseser. I need this computer for school, so I need something that can handle Office programs and can get me on the internet.

sounds like a good deal.
Acer are cheaper than Toshiba, DELL or HP and just as good as those.
Good luck with it!
PS: make sure that it has about 80GB HD so you can store lots of files on it, and also that it has good graffics and sound so you can also listen to music.

acers are nothing but junk so its hp's and compac's..
i have a dell e1705 and its wonderful
a sony is the next best choice

I had one and it works great. Mine had the tv package with it and it never skipped a beat. If you decide to get this one it would do want you want it for and more.

you get what you pay for. if you do go with the acer i HIGHLY recommend getting the extended warrantee. good luck....its a hit or miss with ACER and Dells ........

Lenovo.
They are more expensive, but if you drop your laptop the data is still there.
