sorry you cannot separately increase the font size in GMAIL CHAT all you co do is to increase the font size on your browser.

Try to put the mouse over the read or witting portion of the chat window, hold down CTRL and scroll your mouse wheel up and down. Note that this will change the font size for every page on your browser. You will need to change it back by repeating the steps.
There is no official way to change the font size.

Assuming that you are using Internet Explorer to look at the e-mail, hold down the crtl key and turn the scroll wheel on you mouse. It will cause the displayed text size to increase/decrease. Note that this is only the size used to display it on your computer. If you send it someone else, the text is still the normal size. It does not alter the actual e-mail, only the size used to display it on your screen.
