I started feeling them a lot during that time as well. I'm now 33 weeks, and I'm constantly having Braxton Hicks throughout the day. Don't worry; they're exactly like you described: Not exactly painful, but a little discomforting. During Braxton Hicks, your uterine muscles contract, causing your tummy / abdominal area to harden and some pressure down below (groin area). If they get painful or too frequent, call your doc, but from what you're describing, everything sounds normal!

I've had 4 children and only experienced the Braxton Hicks with my third child. They're not dangerous, but they can sometimes feel like a real contraction. My doctor never did explain why they happen, just that it's not abnormal. That baby just turned 41 and she always has been healthy-so I guess that's all that counts. Good luck with this new life.

Yes, Braxton-Hicks can feel uncomfortable, and occasionally even painful (although your doctor and all the online articles and pregnancy books will tell you that they never hurt).
You could also be having round ligament pains. These don't feel like contractions (no sudden tightening sensation). But they do hurt and you can usually feel them in your lower abdomen/groin area.

Yes, what you feel is normal for Braxton-Hicks. I've been having a heap of them since I was in the 4th month and right now that I am 35 weeks they are starting to get painful at night.

Braxton hicks contractions are to reposition the baby head down, and do 'stretching exercizes' so the uterine muscles will be in shape for good hard pushes later. They might be uncomfortable and will leave you tired, but you should not be feeling sharp pains. Feeling like you're bruised is pretty normal.

I am by no means a dr but with my second and third child I had the same thing. I had horrible groin pain kinda like a burning pulled muscle kinda feeling for the last few months of those pregnancies. If you get up and walk although hard to do when your groin hurts and they quit then they are BH but if they get worse they are real.

yes, they are normal. I dont know where you read that they arent suppose to hurt...I experienced them when i was pregnant with both of my children, theres nothing to worry about unless you lose fluid. And if you've had a child before then you kinda should have an idea of what the labor contractions feel like. Dont worry just try to walk through them.
Congratulations-and good luck

I haven't had a child yet, but I've been witness to many pregnancies. My best friend (mother of 3) always said they hurt either in her back, or in the tops of her legs/hip area. She had them with all three. Regardless though, if you're concerned that something isn't going the way it should or doesn't feel right, call your doctor. You're the best judge of what's normal for your body, particularly since you've experienced it before. Everyone is different.

Yeah. I started feeling (actually felt them, as dull, but noticable pains in my side) them a little after that time, and continue to feel them occsionally. Especially when I walk a lot. My doc said it's normal, and that I need to take it easy. So, I'd say the same for you. Just talk to your doc to be sure, though. Better to be safe than sorry.
Good luck!

not supposed to hurt...right...I can tell you, MINE HURT! not horrible, but like moderate menstrual cramps. Ask your doctor if you have any concerns, but it sounds pretty normal to me. Keeping yourself well hydrated will help as well. Good Luck!
