Take him to the sun with you. When the sun starts turning back on, the warmth will wake him up.
Oh, and note to people who answered this question: hamsters CAN hibernate. I had one, and he went into hibernation once when I left my A/C on for a long time and eventually the room got so cold that he curled into this little ball and went all stiff. I thought he was dead, but we warmed him up and he was fine. So yeah, hamsters can hibernate if needed.
However, your hamster... sounds like he has other issues.

Erm, no offence yet are you stupid!!! is this a humorous tale? Hamsters hardly ever and could now no longer elect to hibernate as a results of fact the temp. of your place could be heat temperature adequate for him. If hes 3, been asleep for 4 weeks and smells then he's quite previous and is maximum probably ineffective, and your in basic terms retaining his physique in a cage. you will no longer have the capability to get freeking kits to wash hamsters! they do no longer prefer washing, it takes the oils from their pores and epidermis. And the respond to you very final question, he wont ever awaken!

Buy a she-hamster. Animals hibernate until it's mating season. He knows he's not getting any so he's not waking up.

have you actually checked to see if he is alive?? 6 years is a really long time for a hamster to live. They usually live up to 2-3 years.

Honey, you might need to take your pet hamster to the vet and ask if this is normal. If not, then, you probably need to prepare for a hamster funeral.Or, if the hamster is not dead, then you might want to get plenty of food, I'm quite sure he/she is mighty hungry.Good luck!!!
