A black leather purse will go with anything and since fall and winter is coming up you need to invest in a black purse anyways and you can find a black purse almost everywhere

depending on your budget and what you like. if we are talking about trends. its metallic. a silver purse/oversize clutch is perfect for any trend/combo for this season.
i dont have a purse but you can try a small messanger purse from H&M my sister got there. its like a purse, but the strap is long giving it a messagner bag look (an also "in" this season) and its simple so it can be worn with any outfit. (its brown and fake leather)
go for something simple it you want something to go with everything. go for a brown or black. if you have a higher budget, you can check out the new prada bags, everything for the big designers are going with classic and nothing says classic like prada. (the oversize ribbon clutches are cute too)

i have a coach hobo style in black leather. black matches the majority of my wardrobe. Leather is also more durable for use on a day to day basis. And while the coach is an expensive brand according to most of the people in this group, it is well worth the investment. I get mine mostly at their outlet stores for 40% off, so it isn't that bad.
You should buy a bag with a color that matches the majority of your wardrobe. For me it is black, my mom prefers brown. Couple faves are attached.

I don't think there is one purse that can go with everything.
I wear my black leather coach purse with almost eveything though. I got it from Macy's.

louis vuitton speedy 30...goes with eveything...i wore it with leopard pumps...looked hot!!!
I also have a Fendi monogram...looks good with everything...monogramed Gucci too...but the LV is classic never goes out of style and never goes on sale...you know they are classic when they never go on sale ; )
