How in the world can you make the connection you've made here? Conservatives don't know who Luciano Pavarotti was? What??? And if he worked to raise money for the poor and the Iraqi war victims, he sure as hell did more to further his beliefs than going on Yahoo Answers and showing his complete and utter ignorance of the lives and awarenesses of those he considers "the enemy."
You are a closed-minded, ignorant, uninformed and mis-informed person. You should be ashamed of yourself.

What do you mean "most of you don't know he was one of the most famous tenors ever"? Who hasn't heard of Pavarotti? He was THE tenor of the last century. His voice was so moving.
BUT what does conservative or liberal have to do with being saddened? I applaud the fact that he helped to raise 2 million euro for Iraq refuges who had been away from home for decades. Why wouldn't I? I applaud his work for those that suffer in Bosnia also. I supported and donated money when he helped the Phoenix Symphony raise money.
He has done a lot to raise money for people less fortunate than himself, and to help strengthen the arts. Now, I applaud him raising funds, but I base my politics on my beliefs, not on someone being a good actor, singer, baseball player, etc (ie Gonzo, Streisand, Oprah, Bono, etc)
I mourn the passing of a great singer, and I rejoice in the fact that I was able to hear him live. He lived a full life, with beauty, conflict, tax evasion, charity and much much more. What more can a person hope for?

I wasn't a fan, so it doesn't feel like a personal loss to me. However, I think your question is more asking if conservatives lose all feeling for someone incredibly talented and inspirational if that person may differ in political views. The answer for me is NO. The rock band Boston is as far left as they come. I am as passionate about their early music as any opera fan is about Pavarotti. When lead singer Brad Delp passed, I was very sad for weeks, but he will live forever in my memories.

I am sad such a great voice is silenced.
I have enjoy the 3 tenors Pavarotti, Carreras, and Domingo
So why is this a conservative vs liberal thing?
I guess like other myths liberals like to keep going because they are so insecure.

I am no conservative but I can assure you I too am saddened by the demise of one of my favorite tenors. He was truly one of the greatest singers ever. The joy he brought to millions of people who have heard his voice will, I'm sure, be rewarded in the afterlife.

I don't know what saddens me more. The fact that the Great Luciano Pavarotti has died or the fact that you would ask such a question.
I suppose the latter.
I pity you for your ignorance.

He was a great talent and will be missed.
Remember, Conservatives are the ones interested in helping the Iraqi people...Liberals just want to go home.

Yes I am.
This morning the oldies station played one of his arias as a tribute. I will miss his voice.
I remember whenever he visited Minnesota, he always had to have a specific family business deliver 20 chocolate truffles to his dressing room. I once got to see him perform in Minnesota when I was 12. It was memorable.

I'm a liberal and even though I'm not much into opera, I have to say that I am still saddened by Pavarotti's death. He wasn't very old and pancreatic cancer is a horrible way to go!

Well he was at Sarajevo too. The Conservatory of Music would miss him, as would his fans. The Events at Escala will see new rising stars, his music will however, live on.
I will be liberal with answer in a conservative way, I will miss him too, though we've never met.
