Interesting question you've got there. Who do you consider a "warmonger"? ...What do you consider to be a "rant"? ...What is your understanding of "morals"? All of these things are important in discussing your question.
If I were to try to answer your question as asked, I'd say that "warmongers rant about morals" because it is morals and the idea of justice that makes these people want to protect their nation & families in the first place. They are so dedicated to this just cause that they will even consider the undesirable notion of putting up with fighting a war against agressors to do enact this protection. Insanity? Stupidity? I would say that that applies to those who think you can ignore a situation and it will "just go away".

Opposing evil is the moral thing to do. Failure to oppose evil is a very immoral thing to do. Allowing evil to go unopposed insures it's ultimate success.
Here is a little analogy. I don't like to see people arrested. I don't like to see people imprisoned. But sometimes that is the moral thing to do. If someone commits an evil act he must be arrested and punished if we are to live in an orderly society.
In that same spirit, if we are to live in freedom we must be willing to oppose those who intend to impose tyranny on us. We should also be prepared to oppose those who impose tyranny on other countries. We must oppose evil or we enable it. We oppose it or become it. We destroy it or we are destroyed by it. That is the choice to be made. One is moral the other immoral.
If you think yourself to be moral because you refuse to fight evil, think again.

Yes, those WWII veterans must be insane and stupid, even though they've given you the way of life you have.

Many of the warmongers of today will be in the care of Abaddon tomorrow. The "warmongers of tomorrow" will be in the care and leadership of Christ today.
The party which boasts of "moral values", is in fact morally bankrupt, and will soon come in remembrence of the one they claim to worship.

Corporate media. They influence thought, opinion, perceptions and votes by what they DON'T report. I believe that if we all received the real news, not Britney and Lindsey's latest gaff or opinion coming across as news, the country would be very different from what it is today.

Misguided allegiance. Morally it is OK to lie on other countries and invade them if America's president is telling the lies and is doing the invading. They claim to support the troops, while also supporting the lies that placed them in harms way. They claim to stand for family values, while sitting back and watching hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children made into orphans. They say God bless America, while supporting a lie-based war that is killing hundreds of thousands of innocents whom God also loves.
Neo-cons love to rant. When it is their actions that truly speak for them.
