To be honest, I am not keen on either name, but if i had to choose, then I would go for Dexter. Where does the name Ossimer come from? Sounds a bit too much like Osama to me, sorry.

Sorry by Ossimer sounds way out i space. Ossie or Oz would be associated with Ossie Osbourne, a known musician who misused drugs. Dexter, would be my choice.

I really like Dexter. Ossimer is a nice name but consider him in school or that name on a name tag at his first job. If it's a name you are really set on, stick with it. It's nobodies choice but your own. Also you can use Ossimer as a middle name.

Steer clear of Ossimer. It sounds like something to do with bones. Or too close to gossamer, which means gauzy or spider-web-like. I'd go with Dexter, nickname Dex.

Don't like Ossimer, or Ossie, or Oz.
Dexter is okay.
If you want an O name, how about Otto, or Oliver, or Orrin?
