put them into the metal recycle and you can put some masking tape along the blades if your worried about cutting someone.

Your local council should be able to point you in the right direction. A few of the London Boroughs I used to deliver to had disposal bins for sharps and blades.
Your other option is to contact your local police station.

Wrap It up really thick in Duct tape/Packing tape. and put it half way down the garbage bag/bin so no kids or animals get hold of it.
