I was given a website from one questions goer yesterday and spent alot of time looking thru its contents. I am not ignorant to the way many of our animals are treated for our pleasure, meat, furs etc.

These animal farms, slaughter houses, milking ranches and chicken farms are so past any consideration to the animal.

I know from some answers that some people don't care about the animal and it does not bother them to work in places like this. Some actually love the sport of seeing to animals rip each other apart.

But I would say a majority of people, if well education on the subject and actually were able to go on field trips to view these places, do you think they would try to reform the situation at hand?

I am aware of the millions of people who need to eat and a normal family owned farm where the chickens run loose and the cows are still milked by hand are out of the question for production control, but isn't there another way?

This is a very difficult question. It is not a matter of people not eating meat anymore, that is not going to happen. I think people should be made aware of the conditions animals go through, not just the slaughterhouse, but the areas where they are born and raised. Until people are more aware, nothing can or will be done.

I wonder about kosher meats and the way fois grais is developed, who came up with those concepts? If you find an answer or with to start a petition, please let me know.

properly, sure, many stuff that we use on an afternoon-to-day foundation comes from animals. yet that doesn't condemn the completed human race as a gaggle of evil, animal-killers. i'm not a vegetarian yet i'm completely attentive to the shown fact that very quite some the beef industry is fairly corrupt--yet that doesn't propose vegetable production is harmless, the two. do you be attentive to what share animals have died so as that human beings could desire to mass produce vegetables and end result? except you're straightforward to God becoming your very own vegetables (AND making particular those vegetables are community on your outdoor), and actually generating each and every element which you employ by ability of hand, some thing died for what you employ. a minimum of 50 animals died which you would be able to be waiting to apply your laptop. you spot what I propose? There are issues you're able to do like not consume meat if that's what you suspect in, yet to call the completed human race a gaggle of animal-torturing lunatics is somewhat extreme.

I agree 100%. I'm also a hypocrite on this issue, as to often I have prefered to ignore it rather than do anything about it.

I think animals would be treated with more dignity in their use if people saw what actually happened to them.

Become a vegetarian (or even better, a vegan) and stop wearing animal fibers. Also, don't buy cosmetics or household products that are tested on animals or have animal byproducts. Fight for the rights of animals.

It could be worse, they could be subjected to the wild where they would be chased down and ripped apart.

While I'm not advocating suffering or torture of any creature, there seems to be many more worthwhile crusades to conduct.

And a side fact, due to alligator farms, the American alligator is no longer endangered.
