He wants to keep the war profiteering going as long as possible.

He reminds me of someone losing a bet on a game of 8 ball, then saying let's go best two out of three and then losing the next game and saying let's go best three out of five and so on and so on.

He is not fooling the majority of the country that is objective and diversified in the forming of their opinions, witness the polls. I believe it was President Dwight Eisenhower that emphatically warned the country of the ills and consequences of the "Military- Industrial Complex", funny how some people seem to predict behavior and consequences with such accuracy and insight.

He's already said he is going to leave this mess for the next president. He and his war profiteering friends haven't got anything to gain by bringing the troops home.
