I was lured away with the promise of exciting men on a dating site (BIG mistake) but I was drawn back to the fun and interesting questions on YA. Then I saw that MrsB and lovely gentle Blue had missed me :0) Makes me so pleased to come back.
But question - is it the wanting knowledge or the entertainmenet bit that makes you come to YA?

Being inspired to think in new directions,
Writing about my ideas,
Learning new things,
Cross-referencing on other sites to find answers
Communicating with people who share my interests
Being inspired to explore my own mind,
The fun of building up the points
The thrill of getting a best answer
Helping people sometimes
Getting a bird's eye view of a wide variety of people, their ideas, opinions, ways of communicating with others.
Also getting a bird's eye view on opinions different to my own and what the proportions of people are that hold them (R&S is good for that).
Having other people's obscure ideas explained (R&S is good for that too).
Having mathematical puzzles to solve.
Finding the solution to scientific questions I may never have thought of asking myself.
Discovering the things which really go on in other people minds.
... and lots more.

I have a thirst for knowledge - and i love to laugh - and on here it's a laugh a minute lol - so both is the answer to you question. Then there's the people, like Blue, Mrs B and many others that light up my life...
I kept reading posts by Mrs B saying 'i miss lefty' at last i know who lefty is - thanks for telling us. : )
PS: what dating sites?? ---- only joking!
