I think James Blunt is the most obnoxious human on the planet for making that song, so I vote Shania Twain.

I would have to say Shania Twain's 'From This Moment On'

Sure they're both beautiful songs but in my opinion where James Blunt is one persons tribute to another and in this instance would surely be interpreted as an homage from the groom to the bride (nothing wrong in that)....
.....Shania Twain's song on the other hand is one where both bride and groom could dedicate it to each other mutually, notwithstanding surely for a wedding what a fantastic theme that from this moment on you will be together forever.

From this Moment by Shania Twain. It's just so appropriate for a wedding song.

I can't honestly recommend either one of them. They're both WAY overused for weddings.

Here are some suggestions which haven't been beaten into oblivion:
Marc Cohn "True Companion"

Beth Nielsen-Chapman "Dance with Me Slow"

The Choir "Listen to Her Eyes"
LYRICS in part "If your love is more than words, listen to her eyes, read her tears like pages, hold her when she cries..."

These are a few that come to mind...

Before someone recommends Whitney (or Dolly's) "I Will Always Love You" it should be pointed it is REALLY not an appropriate wedding song. The tune is about loving a MARRIED MAN. Don't believe me? Read the lyrics...ditto "Saving All my Love for You" by Whitney Houston. Just FYI.

'We've Only Just Begun' by the Carpenters beats both. James Blunt is crap and Shania isn't far off...

We had "Love (Compared With You)" by Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel. We go married 20 years ago, and I would use the same song today. Give it a listen if you can find it!
