There are different capacities in which to become a "brain specialist," but all that come to my mind require either a MD (medical doctorate) or Ph.D. (doctor of philosophy). Those require anywhere from 5-10 years beyond undergraduate college work.

It's about a 15 year process. You start with getting a bachelors in some biology related science and then apply to med school. You'll then do general residency while studying for your speciality and then do a residency for your speciality. Not an easy road. Good luck.
