I belive that you have a wasps nest as bees stay clear of human contact if they can. You could use a toxic hornet killer with a long spray, but with little ones around it's really not a good idea. What I would do is hook up the garden hose with a good nozzel and blast the little critters until they left. After they have gone wash the area where th nest was attached with a bleach solution. This will remove any residue which will act as a attractant to the former residents or a new bunch.

Your local hardware store will have a bee and wasp product. Most of these products will have a high pressure stream so you can spray from a distance. If this still unnerves you, then call a exterminator specializing in bees/wasps. When your certain your bee issue has been resolved thoroughly rinse the slide with water and disinfect with bleach water to remove toxins.

Buy a can of hornet spray and in the evening, spray the nest really good. If you can reach the nest with a broom, knock it off about an hour after you sprayed then toss it in the garbage.
Wash the slide with dishsoap or laundry soap to rid the spray.

Its possible they have found a drain hole on the underside of the slide and built a nest inside it. If thats the case wait until dark, buy a bag of "Sevin" dust and a turkey baster. Draw the dust into the baster, insert it into the hole, squeeze the bulb. As the bees enter and leave thru the hole they pick up dust and take it back to the nest

wait tell it's dark outside, like night time. go outside and spray the bee's nest with hairspray. Do this a couple times during the week. Watch each day to see if any bee's come near it. If not then it's safe to remove it from the area.

At the hardware store you can find a can of bug spray for hornets, wasps, etc. This stuff is great because you can stand a safe distance away and spray the nest due to the long range on the stream of insecticide. I had to do this twice this summer with hornets under my deck.
