I have a dell 3000cn color laser printer and noticed that when i print color pictures that span the size of the entire page then at the bottom (regardless if its printed landscape or portrait) a slight redish line appears at this lower region of the page (in the printing area)...It doesn't look like its printing more red in this area but looks like some kind of burn-in or something that appears slight red. Not sure what it is....Any ideas what it is and what i can do to resolve this.....

Can you give me instructions for the dell 3000cn on each of your steps?

Hate to confuse you more, but a line in SAME PLACE each page is NOT a leaking toner (as said above) but NOR is it a failing drum, that would give lines down the page at regular intervals of around 3" to 5"

If it's 1 line per page it relates to the only compnent in the printer that is page sized, the "Image transfer belt unit"

Assuming it's under warranty, contact HP support, and ask for help. It's easy to fit, if they send it to you.

Consistent lines, blotches or dots on your printouts usually indicate a failing imaging drum. These are the green or copper colored tubes you see inside the printer.

This IS NOT a leaking toner cartridge. If it was, you would have toner (powdered ink) all over your printouts and hands.
