Yes. I have a herrington rod from the 80's. Bec. of the rod, my back doesn't bend any more. When preg, your body releases a hormone to bend the spine to help even out the weight.

In my case it was painful because of the extra weight not being supported as well by my back, but it was worth it all.

Talk to your doctor. If you become preg, make sure ANY pain med, especially over the counter, is approved first! Many can harm the baby.

i used to work for a friend who has scoliosis (one of only 2 known cases in europe) and she had a child 17 yrs ago, so I say yes, it is possible. But I would recommend that your doctor has a close eye on you, in case of complications as she had done. From myself, I know weight is another good reason to stick close to a medical professional, pregnant or not (I am overweight myself)

Not only possible, many do so...
However, there are stories of epidural being less effective with women with scoliosis. But I think that's more to do with technician's skill rather than condition based...

as long as you feel heathy enough to carry a baby then yes, you can. Consult with a dr about the possible effects of a pregnancy on your back, you may end up on bed rest for part of the pregnancy. Good luck!

be aware that scoliosis IS hereditary
Great Aunt had it->Mom has it, having surgery -> I wore a Milwalkee brace as treatment for it-> son has a very mild case
