Favre is in better shape than all of the young QB's combined. That is some of the reason that he has never had a serious injury.
Green Bay will be a tough team to contend with this year. Many of you haters will be surprised at how well Green Bay will play. Last year was 8-8 but the defense came on strong in the latter part of the season. This year Favre has James Jones (looks like a great WR), Donald Driver (always great), Greg Jennings, and in a couple weeks will have Korin Robinson back. All of those combined will make an explosive offense for Favre to put the ball in the air.
He won't retire until he thinks he can't play the game anymore. As of right now, he is still a very dangerous QB on the field and a threat when the ball is in his hands. At the end of last season, Favre let the team know he would be back already in Feb so he didn't hold the team hostage. He will be back and Green Bay will be in the playoffs this year. Green Bay has an offense and defense, the bears only have a defense. The NFC North will be the Pack taking the division this year.

Being a Marino fan I wish he would have retired already. To answer your question though, if he gets through the season healthy and is productive (ie at least a 2td/int ratio) then he should play as long as he wants. What he wants is another shot at the Super Bowl and if they make the playoff they got a shot. He just needs to make up his mind earlier in the off season and not hold the team hostage.

As a Packers fan, Favre should retire after this year. The Packers will finish second and not make the playoffs.

Every year they keep expect him to retire. I doubt he will until he can no longer play. So, to answer your question. No.
