Constantly!

Personally, this is my #1 irritation with people in general. I never pass judgment against anyone based on their appearance and I expect the same respect in return.

Because I am female, with extremely short spiked hair, my demeanor is more masculine than feminine, I wear no makeup, and I am covered with tattoos - people automatically "assume" that:

1. I am a Dyke - not my terminology, but that of the criticizers (I have no issues with someone being a Lesbian!) - I am totally heterosexual and I have been married for 25 years

2. I must be uneducated and work at a miserable job - I have a college degree, I work in a professional environment and I make more money than my husband does

3. I must be a circus freak that escaped - yup, I love the circus too, but I am not a member of one

4. I must be an attention seeker - sorry, my ink is on my body because I like it and each of my tattoos has deep meaning to them

The thing that I find so ironic is when I meet someone for the first time and I have on my "not really me look" - for example, I am wearing a business suit, makeup, no tattoos are visible and my hair is not spiked I am totally accepted, but when I see the same person a second time, and I have on my "really me look" as described above, I get this ridiculous eyes bulging out of the head look, the person is obvious unconfortable, stumbles on their words and just doesn't know how to react.

I think everyone has been judged one way or the other b/c of their looks. It is really sad that society is so caught up on looks, because looks are only skin deep. I know people that are not what most people would consider as "attractive", but they are beautiful people inside and have a genuine heart. It is what is on the inside that makes someone beautiful to me.

Sometimes and it does hurt. The saying "you can't judge a book by its cover" is so true...I was a bartender for a while and my first bartending job, the guys that would come in was always hitting on me and trying to get me to mess around with them, but I didn't..after a while they got to know me and they all became like my "big brother" taking care of sis....they wouldn't let anyone mess with me or hurt me.....it was cool!!!
I still get judged at times though, but its all good because I know who I am and they can't judge me ..only God can! and that is how I treat people...."Do unto others as You would have them do unto you" and I will always stand by that...

All the time; but it's not how others judge me that makes me feel anything for myself. Looks are so superficial. I like myself because I know I am a person of integrity and worth. :)

Everyone judges everyone. I am a very judgemental person and I can tell if I would like a person by just looking at them. I get judged all the time so do you. Everyone is like that no matter how much they sey they aren't.

Uh, yeah. A LOT actually. I am plus-sized, I wear glasses, and I don't have money to dress in name brands...It's been like that for as LONG as I can remember. For a long time, I had a low-self esteem about it, until I learned thanks to my man, that clothing doesn't have to be expensive to look hot. I don't need to be skinny to be beautiful(he actually thinks I'm "skinny" now. I was in a 22 when we met, got up to a 28 after we had our second child last year, and now I'm in a 14/16 and 16/18-depending on the cut and style). Glasses are sexy, and having a big @$$ is FANTASTIC!

i do all the time. im not but 27 years old. but the reason i get looked at like that all the time is because i have had rheumatoid arthritis since i was 20 years old. and it causes me to be kinda hunched over and walk with a little limp. but yeah people judge me because of it.

Haven't we all?? I was tall and scrawny with frizzy hair in grade school and got teased ALL the time. And of course it hurt to feel I had so few friends out there. Now I get weird looks because my baby bump is starting to show and it sorta looks like I'm becoming a big pudgy slob. *sigh*

I am big (not fat) bald and mean looking (I've been told). People often times think of me as a thug, but I'm really nice...until it's time to NOT be nice. It doesn't bother me because the people who are quick to judge like that are not the people I choose to surround myself with.

Yep. Other women like to assume I am stuck up or b!tchy until they get to know me and find out I am the complete opposite. I hate it because people don't always talk to me and I usually am the one that approaches everyone anytime I want to chat. I think it is because my mouth goes down naturally and so I look mad when it is just my face!
