You win games in MLB by scoring runs and hitting homeruns is just one way to get there. As a team the Brewers are in the middle of the pack in scoring runs this year and 145 behind the Yankees who lead MLB. The Brewers lead MLB in homeruns and the players above can hit it out in any ballpark but I would venture to guess that they would give up all those homeruns if they had a choice of that or the playoffs.

it doesn't matter how many HRs you hit, when it comes down to the end of the game all that matters is the number of runs on the scoreboard. yes the brewers lead the majors as a team in HRs 192 (2nd reds 184), but they are 12th in runs scored at 679. so they hit it out alot but it's not the kind of offense like the Angels that doesn't hit many HRs (107) but gets a lot of offense production scoring 717 38 more then the brewers and 5th in majors although hitting 77 less HRs

Just because you hit homers doesnt make you great. The Yankees, but I hate them. Cleveland is good too, but not the same number of HR's. But in past seasons their numbers would compare.

Hafner hit 45
Martinez hit 29
Sizemore hit 23 in leadoff
Blake hit 21
Peralta hit 24

That was last year. So ... I dont know. Will the brewers make the post season?

Apparently about half of them, since they're hovering around .500, just like the Cards and Cubs.
