Gaviscon is the best as far as OTC antacids go. Prilosec works well if you have bigger problems than a single meal. If worse comes to worse, your doctor can prescribe Prevacid, which works REALLY well for me. Can you tell I've had some problems with this along the road??? ;-)

currently on 3 diff meds. prescribed for all my stomach issues..
but in a pinch, or if i forget them, i will go buy some extra strength tums....
