Gotta love it!!!! Cub fans are such dreamers and then whiners. Just get over it and start talking about how 08 is the year of the Cubs. And if for some strange reason you make the playoffs, do you really think it matters, you won't be able to beat any of the other playoff teams.

Is anyone surprised?!?! I love it...but hey Cubs fans...as we say in Chicago...maybe next year!! Did you really think you'd make the playoffs with the team you had...Oh and for cubs fans...it seems they think every year is the year of the cubs!

Not a Cub fan and could careless, but Old Nag you are out of line. Irrataiting is a personal feeling. Just like this person's question. I think they proved their point when they say Cub fans are whiners. You are case in fact. (Can't speak for all Cub fans) Gee, it was just a question, that was'nt half as bad as some other Cub questions or Bosox/Yankee questions. Chill out and just wait for 08 when the Cubs win it all (ooops dreaming)

Cubs vs. Indians in the World Series. The two longest droughts of a championship. 1908 is well before 1948 so I guess the Cubs want it more? Im not sure they couldnt beat anyone in the playoffs. The NL is terrible. I cant believe Detroit tanked so bad last year that they handed the Title over to St. Louis on a silver platter.

I still think they will make the playoffs due to the fact that the Brewers are collapsing just as bad or even worse than the Cubs right now.

Looking at the Cubs remaining schedule I will have to say they have a very legit chance of winning their division.
Other than St.Louis who is barely .500 the rest of the teams the Cubs play are well under .500 and are in last or next to last place.

I am not a Cubs fan but I do believe the depth on their team this year is better than the Cardinals and Brewers and the remaining schedule favors the Cubs. I look for the Cubs to win the division this year.

actually, the cubs have a chance this year to win the central. but their chances of winning the WS are very small.
