Men get and die of such things as heart disease at a younger age than do women (men usually get signs of heart disease in their 40s and 50s-- women do in their postmenopausal years [60-80s]. Estrogen (a female hormone) may be protective. This is one of the reasons why women tend to live longer than men. Work related stress and lifestyle habits (diet habits, smoking, and drinking) may also play roles. Also, more men are probably exposed to industrial toxins than are women, resulting in later neurological and oncological illness.

The gap between men and women regarding life expectancy, however, is closing somewhat now. The reasons, in part, may be that cancer has become a scourge of 20-21st century medicine thanks to the fashion of cigarette smoking and also because more women are in the work force.

Scientists say that a woman's heart goes on performing just as well, even when she is old, while a man's heart loses 25% of its pumping power by the time he reaches the age of 70. Apparently, men can significantly reduce the rate at which their hearts lose power by taking regular exercise, say the scientists. A man aged 50-70 who does a lot of exercise has a heart as strong as a 20 year old sedentary male

because males physically operate at higher performance with its not possible due to the stresses it eventually causes especially the heart males typically enjoy a much slower heart rate due to being stronger however you cannot keep this up for ever, its a bit like pedigree pet breeds that only live for a few years before getting large medical conditions

Because from natures point of view, men are needed to fertilise the egg : job done.
Women have to: look after, nurture, protect from harm, feed, clothe, teach the offspring etc. : A woman's work is never done. lol
