Probably, this is a figurative question.
I cannot say whether flies get sick or not, but I know that flies have a very short life. When their season is over, they automatically perish in masses.
However, during their season, they have to be tolerated, unfortunately.

YES. When they go against nature! LOL!!!
Jokes aside, even if the life span of a living being is just a few hours (like many insects), it goes through the complete cycle of life with all its characteristics and oddities and experiences! Falling sick is one such common phenomenon for any species. So flies too get sick!!
P.S> This has been proved medically also.

Yes. when they are flying very slow and you can practically catch them they are getting ill and eventually they die, as do all embodied species of life. Actually the soul within the flies body never dies or gets sick only the body does.

I don't think they have a long enough life span to worry about it.
Average length of a common house fly life = 24 hours.
Excluding the swatter, animals, and other insects that like to kill, play, or eat them.

Yes, they do. That is why sometimes, you see they flew right into your nostril or eyes instead going for food. That mean they must be sick unless you're .......

immunity from all that filth in which they are,
most of the time, wallowing.
