placement, position both work----context could also work
I am in the desert. desert is a noun describing an arid place with little vegetation.
Please do not desert me. desert is a verb describing being abandoned.
context within the meaning of the sentence, placement/position as to what kind of word belongs there, (verb, noun, etc), which also gives clues as to meaning
