The scrathch is deep to were you can see the black bumper. It's about two inches long and less than an inch wide. Will touch up paint actually work?

Touchup paint from a dealer or parts store will hide the scratch somewhat but not perfectly. Another option is "spot refinishing" from companies like this one

Or some bodyshops do it---more costly than touchup but much better looking. Bumper sticker over the scratch is the super-cheap way to go. :)

by typing into search box Automotive touch paint How to Touch Up Car Paint pretty much find what you need to do it your self but you could call or go to a few body shops an dask about it as well

Go to Ford and get a touch up paint. It will match your paint code. It should only be about 5 bucks.
