Thanks for bringing him to my attention. I'd heard the name once or twice, but I had no idea how good he was. If he played in NY/Boston, you can bet everyone would know about him. Hideki Okajima is more well known, and this kid compares pretty favorably with him.

52 innings pitched with 1 win and 1 save is not enough of a contribution for ROY consideration. By the way, don't forget a WHIP of .90. However, both Sabathia and Carmona are in the race for the Cy Young and one of them might come away with that honor. Even if he doesn't get it this year you must have a big smile on your face with the performance of the Indians and their chances in the playoffs. Don't forget, Dice-K is a rookie this year.

No ... they will give it to bannister or pedroa. But I love Rafae Left. Almost as much as I love Rafae Right! CC for Cy Young the campaign begins. One less win than the league leader, but with 20 more ks, a lower ERA, and more innings pitched. Plus two complete game shut outs that went down as no decisions and one that went down as a win. He is a work horse and im glad he became the leader we have expected him to for so long. GO TRIBE!!! I WANT BOSTON IN ROUND ONE!!!! LETS SEE WHO HAS BETTER PITCHING!!!!!
