No, when you get old, and realize your mortality, you seem to remember your religion more.

no, older people tend to remember things put into long term memory. Its the short term stuff the forget. I have worked with geriatric patients who have had demenia and they all talk about god, heaven or what ever thier religious preference is. Most learned it at a very young age so it is deep in the brains memory storage area.

No to the contrary. As you get older, you understand religion more and look more to God for guidance. Other stuff, like what? No we still remember our children's names. Where the stove is located, and how to put on clothes.
My guess is that you are a teen or in your early twenties and believe everyone over forty is on the way, if not in dementia.

It really depends on how important your religion is to you. I have worked in a nursing home with alzheimer's and dementia patients. Some spoke only of God and some never mentioned religion at all. There were quite a few who wanted nothing to do with religion. One lady could remember her son who died in 1950(ish) but couldn't remember her children that were still alive. It all depends on what events touched you the most, meant the most to you and which things weren't as important.

Lord yes! I have forgotten more than I know now! Ha. It's scary sometimes, you just stare into space cause you know you knew it at one time but it's just gone now!!!!!!!!! As an older person I think we just get desensitized cause nothing surprises us anymore. The younger generation doesn't want to listen to us and see how the world is going now! Poor world.........
