I love the Stranglers, but not going to the gig. Wish I was though.

Saw them at Stormin the Castle a few years ago. Still sound great but that Baz Warne (the singer at the time, dunno if he still is) is a prick. Just before getting the gig with the stranglers we went to see him perform at a local boozer. He turned up, had a brief look around the pub, turned his nose up at the staff and said "i don't like the look of the punters- i'm not playing here"- and he back heeled and left! Just happens the boss of the pub (or someone who knew the boss well) was a very influential lady in live music circles, she runs a live music magazine and website and knows a LOT of people. Silly boy!

a great band..we used to call them the 'pink floyd' of punk through fact they have been coming at it type a distinctive perspective from their friends. Musically and lyrically they have been in a distinctive classification. I undergo in recommendations paying for the singles 'Peaches' & 'not greater Heros', and taking them to college so shall we learn the songs.throughout the time of the 80's, while the known of accessable chart muisc replaced into at it extremely is worst..they extra out some solid stuff (Arual Sculpure is an 80's classic) even with the shown fact that, on account that Hugh Cornwell left, they have basically been a very good kareoke band..similar to Queen without Mercury...yet on the different hand..it has presented new followers to their song

Sure, I am a fan. I saw the Stranglers twice back in the 1980s, and still love to listen to 'Live X-Cert', 'Black and White', 'The Raven', and 'The Gospel According To The Men In Black'. I stopped listening to the band's releases after 'La Folie' I do not think I would see them now, and without Hugh Cornwell.

Yeah, saw them in the late 70's (how old?!). They had strippers on stage during "Nice 'n Sleazy" which caused an argument with the girl I was with 'cause she was jealous.

Saw Jean Jaques Burnel in a London Tube station a little while ago. A very cool dude still.
