If your job pays so much you must work there instead of somewhere else every time you hate your job put money in your escape fund. Invest aggressively so that if you hate your job you can afford to take any job and still live the same lifestyle. Just knowing you could quit and take a job that paid half as much any time you wanted makes the current job more bearable.

I know what you mean, I use to work in the food business for about 5 years and then one day I quite and thought of something totally out of my comfort zone and found a job at a motorcycle dealership, and it changed a bit in my life. If your a single person I would say just be gutsy and quite your job so you really are forced to start digging around for something unusual and exciting. But if you have a family to support, then hang in there and I'm sure something will come up!!

I hate my jot now too. It used to be a nice job, since we merged with another bank it has been just horrible,

I plan on sticking it out as long as i can, because it does not seem to be many jobs out there right now. I do not want to leave now because I get 4 weeks paid vacation, I have worked long and hard for that and I do not want to see that go.

Hi,

this is what I did: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/home_based_business.html

Also, have a look at some interesting ideas: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/money_making_opportunities.html

The reason I have written these pages on my site for actors, is that most actors have similar issues, the biggest one being that they need to find creative ways to make money so that they can concentrate on their acting careers without worrying about waiting on tables for example.

Here's another page that is more specific to actors in the beginning, but then ends in the same kind of thinking with concrete solutions: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/ways_to_make_money.html

Hope that helps!

Tony

Get an education and start a career. A career you love will always be better than a job you hate.
