the main Benificiary in her Will and that she had asked a neightbour, a guy named "Red" to be the sole Executor. In a phone call a month before she died, she told me that she had fallen out with Red because she would not lend him money. She since discovered that he was up to his eyes in debt, had borrowed from everyone and was blacklisted among local traders. She said that when her health improved she was going to change her Will and have her solicitor as the sole executor, but I am sure that she died before she could do this. I know she had substantial amounts of money in different accounts but don't know which ones or how much. The Will states that the Residue is to go to me. My question is. Can I find out how much money she had in her accounts, or is the Residue whatever Red says it is?

You will need to contact the lawyers dealing who are dealing with the probate of the will, and then they will correspond with you directly. The executors are just there to sign for things on behalf of your deceased Aunt.
I hope this helps.

When the probate is complete, as the main or sole beneficiary, you will be sent a full statement of your Aunt's estate which will detail every penny and where it has been distributed, including the payment of taxes if that applies.

Talk to a lawyer, but as far as I know, it is not up to the executor to decide how much money you get, and you can ask to see how much money she had. Your soliciter would be able to help you with this, and let you know how. Really, any further proceedings would have to be done through a soliciter, as they actually have the power to get things done, or a lot faster than you would on your own, anyway.
